The Kadlik Family
What's in a name: The spelling of this name evolved over the years and in different families. When researching documents, we have learned to try all the various spellings for any of the family members.

Frank Kadlik (Froliyan, Florián)
Update April, 2009 From the marriage certificate in the Bratislava archives, we learned that Frank's family name was Sprusansy. Probably "Kadlik" was the nickname used for that family in Kutyš and that is the name he used when he immigrated to the US.
š Nick names in Kuty. We have learned that families in Kuty usually have knick names to distinguish them from other families with the same last name.
Note: From another marriage certificate, we learned that Florian also had a brother Martin, who married Juliana Mrázová in Slovakia.

Joseph Cadillic (son of Mary
and Frank) married Catherine Louise O'Connell on August 1, 1925 in
Schenectady, NY.
The attendants at their wedding were Joe's uncle and aunt, Thomas and Josephine Palkovic. As often happens in big families, although Josephine was Joe's aunt, she was only five years older than he, so they, no doubt, were more like peers. marriage document (a pdf file)
For library Kay married Bob's brother in 1953 (check this date)
Joe outlived two wives. His children Joe 1963 and Donna 1966. Check out children.
